Starting point

A complete operating site had to be planned, built and staffed in parallel

The company originally operated from Costa Rica and intended to move operational responsibility to Europe. The assignment required far more than office space and recruiting: it needed local management, adapted processes and an organisation capable of taking over operations reliably.

Philipp Geppert’s responsibility

Philipp Geppert held business-development and temporary deputy-executive responsibility. He brought site planning, infrastructure, recruiting, relocation, management build-out and process transfer together in one programme.

Execution

Several critical workstreams ran at the same time

  1. Site and organisational planningDefinition of the European operating model, ownership and launch plan.
  2. Office build-out and infrastructureDevelopment, equipment and commissioning of approximately 1,400 m².
  3. Recruiting and onboardingBuilding an organisation with more than 200 employees.
  4. International relocationCoordination of more than 30 relocations for third-country nationals.
  5. Management and process transferAdapting leadership, processes and company culture to the European operation.

Result

A fully operational European site with a scaled organisation

Within approximately six months, the Prague operation had infrastructure, local leadership, onboarded teams and transferred operating processes.
